Pamela Anderson, Lauren Goodger and Anthea Turner compete for attention in revealing, sparkly dresses at Dancing On Ice launch

It must be hard to stand out from the crowd when struggling to compete for attention against some of the world's most beautiful women.
But the female Dancing On Ice contestants did their best on Thursday afternoon, squeezing themselves into the tightest, and most sparkly, outfits for a photocall to launch the show.
Pamela Anderson led the way, in a baby pink babydoll-style dress that boasted a plunging neckline to ensure her famous figure was on show.

The 45-year-old former Baywatch actress teamed the outfit with a pair of strappy nude heels, and left her signature blonde locks flowing loose around her shoulders.
But Pamela had some stiff competition in the glamour stakes from her fellow DOI contestants, including Lauren Goodger and Anthea Turner.
Former TOWIE star Lauren opted for a bright turquoise number which featured tasselled detailing around the hips, and smiled widely as she posed up for the cameras at London's Southbank Studios.

Drawing attention to her slim waist by posing with her hands on her hips, Lauren opted to team the dress with a pair of black peep-toe heels.
But while Lauren showed off her legs in the ensemble, she covered up her arms by going for a long-sleeved dress.
Meanwhile, Anthea took some fashion tips from Pamela Anderson in a similarly-coloured pink outfit, complete with a plunging neckline and a short skirt.

Politician Oona King chose a more conservative ensemble for the launch event, showcasing her toned physique in a bright red drop waist gown.

Appearing on This Morning earlier in the day, Pamela revealed that she had not skated in weeks because she was in Hawaii.
She explained: 'I was in Hawaii and I couldn't find a rink! When I was five I skated a little bit, I have to redeem myself. As a Canadian you have to learn how to skate. I couldn't stand up in October'.
Elsewhere, Essex native Lauren revealed she loved getting dressed up for the show, particularly wearing so much make-up.
Ruth Langsford asked her: 'You're going to love all the glamour?'

He explained: 'I was tall off the ice, when I got on there I was like ten foot tall and when I look down, it's a long way down... its not what I'm used to put it that way. Its very delicate, I'm more use to your rough and tumble!'

Meanwhile, Beth Tweddle said her sporting career wouldn't help her on the ice: 'It's completely different, everything that I've been taught for the past twenty years - straight legs, keep your body upright... and suddenly my coach is telling me to bend your knees.
'My panic mode is to go straight leg and then I'm flat on my back on the ice.'
Dancing on Ice starts at 6.25pm on Sunday January 6th on ITV1.
