She was once the poster girl for sexy female soap stars thanks to her role in Channel 4's Hollyoaks.

And now she has reprised her role as Tamzin Bayle in the emergency room programme, Gemma Atkinson is back to showing off her enviable figure during her days off.

The 27-year-old actress displayed her incredibly toned figure in a crop top and low-slung black shorts, drawing attention to her enviable six pack in the outfit as she jogged along with boyfriend Liam Richards in Aruba.

The blonde star even attracted glances from other exercisers, who couldn't resist a peek in her direction as they completed their own routines.

Speaking previously about her exercise routine, Gemma said: '“I train 6 days a week, not just to look good but to feel good from the inside too. I always feel better after a morning workout.

'I mix my training up with Kickboxing, Cycling, Body Pump classes or just regular weight training and running.

'If I’m away working I take my kettle bell and skipping rope to train in my hotel room. I try to do 1hr sessions, although sometimes a 30 min run is just as good. I also make sure I eat lots of protein and veg with good carbohydrates such as rice and potatoes.'

But Gemma wasn't the only one courting attention with her skimpy ensemble, as her boyfriend Liam also proved to be her competition in the muscle stakes.

Liam opted to go shirtless for the exercise session, displaying his equally ripped body in just a pair of shorts and trainers.

As well as her role in Casualty, Gemma was also recently seen in horror movie Airborne, in which she starred as an air hostess trying to contend with plane full of passengers who turned into murdering psychopaths.

And in addition to her horror movie roles, Gemma has also been finding success in the Bollywood industry.

She said: 'Unbeknown to most, I've made a name for myself in Bollywood and in November I'm flying to Switzerland to finish a Bollywood movie called Fever. I start another one in the new year too but that's filmed in Goa and New York.'
