Tulisa plays it safe in a girlie teal prom dress... while Nicole Scherzinger oozes glamour in a daring thigh-split lace number at Pride of Britain Awards
They've been battling it out in the style stakes on The X Factor every Saturday, and last night was no exception for Tulisa Contostavlos and Nicole Scherzinger.
The duo showed off their fashion credentials as they hit the red carpet at Monday night's Pride of Britain Awards.
Posing up a storm at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, the female X Factor judges opted for contrasting looks as they arrived at the annual event.
Battling it out: Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa Contostavlos opted for very different looks as they hit the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards
Although there's no denying she looked stunning, Tulisa played it somewhat safe in a teal prom-style dress with black detailing at the bust.
The pretty outfit flattered the 24-year-old singer's slim waist and featured an eye-catching cutout back, which showed the merest hint of one of her numerous tattoos.
Black peep-toe heels with jewel detailing and a chic up-do completed the star's red carpet look, with an added accessory in the form of her X Factor co-judge Louis Walsh placed on her arm.

But while Tulisa went for a girlie look, Nicole opted for all-out showstopping glamour.
The 34-year-old singer looked positively stunning as she showcased her incredible figure in a daring thigh-split floor-length gown.
Vamping it up in the black cutaway lace number, the Poison hitmaker stole the show as she hit the red carpet.
Nicole made sure she let her dress do the talking with relatively simple make-up and her raven locks pulled into a loose ponytail as she made her entrance at the annual awards ceremony.

Singing in the rain: Nicole didn't seem at all perturbed by the inclement weather, and didn't even have an umbrella to shelter her from the rainy London evening
But the X Factor girls also faced competition in the form of Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly, who looked incredible in a daring black floor-length number.
Featuring a sky-high thigh-split and a cheeky peephole neckline, the TV presenter oozed glamour as she posed on the red carpet with her blonde curls tumbling around her shoulders.
Meanwhile, her Strictly Come Dancing co-presenter Bruce Forsyth, 84, posed alongside his wife Wilnelia, who looked ravishing in a white and silver ensemble.

Kristina Rihanoff looked sensational in a black floor-length backless gown and with her blonde hair teased into tight curls, she simply oozed Hollywood glamour.
Actress Lisa Riley made an appearance alongside her Strictly Come Dancing partner Robin Windsor, opting for an eye-catching purple and blue dress as she hit the red carpet.

Elsewhere, Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack opted for her usual style in a black and cobalt blue minidress and leopardprint platform heels as she posed alongside co-presenter Olly Murs, who looked dapper in a brown checked suit.
And a number of this year's X Factor also put in appearances at the star-studded bash.
Show favourite Ella Henderson proved she is already well on her way to becoming a star in her own right, with the teen singing sensation looking beautiful in a floor-length orange gown.
